Welcome to Basque Country :)

While we were continuing hiking from Zubiri to Pamplona we met a lot of other pilgrims, like that one really nice lady who's from Spain doing a one week trip with her coworkers. Her german was pretty good, coz she did an exchange year in  Germany so we got to talk really quickly! :)
When we arrived in Pamplona our feet really hurt. We went to the German hostel Casa Paderborn and it was comfortable and the staff were friendly too!:)
Pamplona is a awesome city with so much history. Nele and I didn't get to see a lot but we walked around the (really) big stadium where the bullfights occur every year. I got to eat some of the local tapas in this famous street where the fighters push the bulls through. I have a feeling that the people here are really proud about this. But the town has more to offer: a big cathedral, a lot of ruins and buildings, a castle and a lot of parks and green spots

Our next BIG trip

Nele (http://neleundannapilgern.blogspot.de/?m=1) and I are about to do the st. Janes way. We ll start tomorrow and will come back in September because I have to go to school afterwards. We'll start in st. Jean pied de port in France and continue our journey to Santiago de compostela. We planed  to start slow so we have time to get into the climate and the conditions. Unlike Nele I'm not really confident about doing the passage over the mountains right at the beginning but well see what the other people are suggesting to do and maybe wait for a better day or take a bus and start right behind the Pyrenean. Afterwards we will continue like all the others until we'll be finished. The idea to walk the camino de Santiago started out with a beautiful movie that we watched on TV and started planing.
Our start is coming very close now and I can't describe how good I feel about this trip and hopefully we will free ourself from negative thoughts and widen our minds.
We will upload a couple of post through out our trip so we keep everybody posted.

Traveling by night it’s the best!!!

First thing first: it doesn't matter if you’re traveling by train, coach, car or plane!!! Traveling by night is just relaxing. It's easier to just get on a plane or train and even a coach than to take the car because you have to have it checked before; you have to always have a full tank and a good driver. Especially when you’re traveling at night it's important to have a driver who is awake and can take you safely to your destination. But they are really hard to find, because everybody wants to sleep sometime and when you're arriving in the morning he/she is the only one who has to sleep while the other ones can start the day after sleeping through the night. So it's better for all to take the train, coach, or the plane. You have to spend a little bit more money when you’re flying. It's cheaper to go by coach. You get good deals if you’re booking early or travel alone. Some of these buses are really comfortable and sometimes they have free Wi-Fi!! :)) But if you have a choice to take the train, I would choose the train. Here in Europe the night train are really functional and good for short trips across the continent.
Here some tips to avoid a sleepless night:
1. Get a small sleeping bag (you can take it anywhere and you know that it's clean)
2. Just take the important stuff in your carry on:
 - PJ
 - toiletry
 - a little towel (you could use it as a pillow or to cover the pillow you were given)
 - Your big luggage goes under the seats and stays down there.
3. NEVER leave your sleeping cabin open at night (thief are coming at night to grab everything they can!!) The conductor will wake you before you arrive at your destination so don't worry you won't miss it.
4. Sleep with your head towards the window and put the important stuff under/next to your pillow (even when you sleep at the top <the thief's are really ruthless> they even get your stuff from the top!)
5. Get to know the persons in your cabin. So it's easier to make arrangements and have a good time. If you’re traveling with another person and you couldn't get beds next to each other just ask the following travellers to swop beds. Some people (spec. the old ones) are even glad not to sleep at the top!
So I wish you good luck and lots of fun on your next trip :)

Thirty Seconds to Mars ^^

It was an amazing night.

At first I wasn’t so excited to go there because I bought the tickets as a birthday present. Because my best friend really loves them!!^^

Then I thought that I have to know at least one song from them. It’s funny coz I really loved "cities of angels" before I knew that’s from them!!^^ and I relived really great moments with their old music!! :D <3  So I discovered my love to their music, again.

My best friend Nele and I stared our journey in the morning of the concert!:D We had to travel about 250 km to get to Stuttgart. It was a lot of fun because I really really had no idea where to go because I thought that one of us had our driver’s license by then and we would have some navigation system to get us to the right place but the day arrived and neither of us could drive!! :DD  So we just hang around Stuttgart and asked around how to get to the concert hall and after a while we managed to get on the right train and meet some other fans.

The sad thing about this concert was really that the concert hall wasn’t full enough. And because we thought we don’t want to get squeezed together at the front we stayed in the middle but it sucks to stand in the middle of a concert hall with no people around you. So we went farther to the front but when we reached the crowd there where a lot of old people and wired looking men who just stand there not even moving to the music. That was really creepy and it ruined us the concert a little bit. But Thirty Seconds to Mars were just too good to not have fun!!^^
