Welcome to Basque Country :)

While we were continuing hiking from Zubiri to Pamplona we met a lot of other pilgrims, like that one really nice lady who's from Spain doing a one week trip with her coworkers. Her german was pretty good, coz she did an exchange year in  Germany so we got to talk really quickly! :)
When we arrived in Pamplona our feet really hurt. We went to the German hostel Casa Paderborn and it was comfortable and the staff were friendly too!:)
Pamplona is a awesome city with so much history. Nele and I didn't get to see a lot but we walked around the (really) big stadium where the bullfights occur every year. I got to eat some of the local tapas in this famous street where the fighters push the bulls through. I have a feeling that the people here are really proud about this. But the town has more to offer: a big cathedral, a lot of ruins and buildings, a castle and a lot of parks and green spots

Our next BIG trip

Nele (http://neleundannapilgern.blogspot.de/?m=1) and I are about to do the st. Janes way. We ll start tomorrow and will come back in September because I have to go to school afterwards. We'll start in st. Jean pied de port in France and continue our journey to Santiago de compostela. We planed  to start slow so we have time to get into the climate and the conditions. Unlike Nele I'm not really confident about doing the passage over the mountains right at the beginning but well see what the other people are suggesting to do and maybe wait for a better day or take a bus and start right behind the Pyrenean. Afterwards we will continue like all the others until we'll be finished. The idea to walk the camino de Santiago started out with a beautiful movie that we watched on TV and started planing.
Our start is coming very close now and I can't describe how good I feel about this trip and hopefully we will free ourself from negative thoughts and widen our minds.
We will upload a couple of post through out our trip so we keep everybody posted.
